A unique two-year virtual program of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
Students must apply directly to the NCSSM Online program.
We are looking for high potential students that want to link together with top students around the state and immerse themselves in academic opportunities unavailable at most local schools.
The NCSSM admissions process evaluates the following criteria through multiple application components.
No campus visit is required during the admissions process for applicants that apply only to the NCSSM Online program.
You will be asked which program you are applying to when you start your NCSSM admissions application.
No. Students must apply to the NCSSM Online program. If a student applies to both programs, they will complete additional questions and be evaluated as a residential program applicant as the first priority. The interest in NCSSM Online will be considered if the student is not selected for the residential program.
We will send information to your counselor, and you can direct them to visit our counselor and local schools pages. Each school has unique policies on e-learning, and we will need to determine how the unique NCSSM Online opportunity can fit into your school policies and resources. Be proactive, and discuss how the online program can integrate with your local school schedule with your counselor during the application process.
All information about applying to the school is on the Admissions Department website. For admissions or application specific questions, please contact the Admissions Office at 919-416-2600.
The program is open to public, private, and home-schooled students that meet the application requirements.
