What's your favorite part of your job as an Online Ambassador?
Being able to connect with and help others
What's your favorite part of NCSSM Online?
Meeting and engaging with others who are passionate about the same things I am. Everyone is so friendly and understanding you feel like you are right at home.
What's the biggest challenge you've encountered in the Online program?
My biggest challenge would have to be time management. I am triple enrolled at three schools, so managing work between the three was a challenge. I did not want to put one class before the other and risk causing harm to another.
What's an "aha" moment you've experienced in one of your Online classes?
I was really passionate about writing a TV review for my Honors Media Studies Class. The perspective I was going to write it from wasn't clear to me, but it seemed like one that would possibly work for the TV episode I selected. However, a few days later I realized that the perspective I had chosen didn't apply to the TV show episode. But because of this, I realized that the episode breaks away from certain expectations in its genre which allowed me to use that as my perspective.
What are two of your greatest interests or passions?
Reading and volleyball.
If you had one year of freedom, what would you want to do?
Focus on myself and make sure that I'm doing well before trying to move forward.
What have you missed most during the pandemic?
My friends. Both locally and at NCSSM.
How are you coping during the pandemic?
I have been doing a lot of reading and writing.
What are you looking forward to in the coming school year?
Applying for college.
What words of wisdom do you have for Online students?
Manage your time wisely.
