What's your favorite part of NCSSM Online?
Getting to meet people from across the state that enjoy and are passionate about the same things I am.

What's the biggest challenge you've encountered in the Online program?
The biggest challenge I've encountered in the Online program has been time management.

How have you met that challenge?
I've met this challenge by learning how to better manage my time as well as better schedule my time.

What's an "aha" moment you've experienced in one of your Online classes?
I experienced in an "aha" moment in my Classical Genetics class. I realized that teachers can make or break a class. Mr. (Jon) Davis made that class so much fun and made me realize that when your teacher is passionate about teaching and cares about you truly learning the material, it will make the class so much more enjoyable.

What are two of your greatest interests or passions?
My two greatest interests are optometry and marine science (yes, I know these are two very different things lol.)

If you had one year of freedom, what would you want to do?
I would travel the world and pursue passions that I do not typically have the time for.

How are you coping during the pandemic?
By making sure that I take time to spend with my friends and family.

What are you looking forward to in the coming school year?
I am looking forward to my neuroscience course and being back in person for school.

What words of wisdom do you have for Online students?
Make groupchats with your classmates. Connecting with the people in your Online classes will help you to feel supported and you'll have somewhere to ask questions about the class. But most importantly, you'll be making friends that could last a lifetime.

Why should prospective students and their families consider NCSSM Online?
NCSSM Online allows you to be a part of a community that is passionate about learning, and you will have access to a wide range of classes that you cannot get at your home high school, while allowing you to remain with your friends at your home high school.
