What's your favorite part of your job as an Online Ambassador?
My favorite part of my job as an Online Ambassador is getting to know future students.
What's your favorite part of NCSSM Online?
My favorite part of NCSSM Online is the online community. I have made some of the best friends that I could ask for through classes and online events.
What's the biggest challenge you've encountered in the Online program?
I would say that the biggest challenge that I have encountered is that I am a horrible procrastinator and had to learn how to manage time.
What's an "aha" moment you've experienced in one of your Online classes?
My "aha" moment was when I realized that the teachers are literally being paid to help you, so don't be scared to ask for help outside of our specific Zoom class and use office hours!
What are two of your greatest interests or passions?
Two of my greatest passions are the dramatic arts and my Native American heritage. I don't know what I would be doing with my life if I wasn't so heavily involved in these.
If you had one year of freedom, what would you want to do?
I would travel the world. I have always been obsessed with traveling and learning about other countries' history and culture.
How are you coping during the pandemic?
How are any of us coping honestly? I think the only way I am surviving is because I have forced my dog to hang out with me everyday.
What are you looking forward to in the coming school year?
I am just looking forward to some normalcy but also new adventures!
What words of wisdom do you have for Online students?
Use your resources! Your advisors and other faculty are here for you, so if you're struggling, don't be scared to reach out!
Why should prospective students and their families consider NCSSM Online?
It's a great way to challenge yourself but also stay in the comfort of your own home and still stay involved at your home school!
