What can your library do for you?

What can your library do for you?

April 2022

If you are an NCSSM student, your library staff provides the opportunity for you to: learn how to access the collection of over 245,000 e-books; learn best practices for database and journal mining; get help on projects and papers, even on nights and weekends; and, of course, say hi to Porg during Online Weekends. Remember the new Chat feature to ask questions or get help. We enjoy helping – the more obscure the topic the better.

If you are a faculty member, your library provides: space for you to be outside the confines of your office; books and e-books for your courses or for reading pleasure; consults on Open Educational Resources for your courses that can help you escape from the textbook monster; collaboration on assignments that you may be pondering and how we can support you and your students with resources and expertise in searching for and finding information; help if you are working on an advanced degree; and coffee. The library staff has experience in designing, teaching, and taking online courses, and we get paid to help you. We encourage you to use the Chat feature too!
